Text of handwritten deed conveying fifty acres to Amasa Harrold 1805.

This indenture made this fifteenth day of November in there one thousand eight hundred and five between Hugh Nelson of the one part and Amasa Harrold of the other both of the County of Washington and State of Tennefsee Witnefseth as follows that he the said Hugh Nelson hath for and in Consideration of Seventy-five pounds paid in Hand Bargained and sold hold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the (sd) Amasa Harrold a tract of land lying and Being in the County and State aforesaid and on a branch of Big limeston running as follows Beginning on a white oak sapling running a straight line one hundred and twenty five poles to a Chesnut tree thence South forty two poles to a white oak Thence East twenty seven and a half poles to a dogwood Sapling Thence South fifty three poles west Seventy five poles to a poplar sapling thence a derect line to the Beginning Containing fifty acres be it more or less together with all the appurtenances there to Belonging

To the Said Amasa Harrold his heirs Executors adminestrators and afsigns forever and will warrant and forever defend as an Indefensable inheritance in fesimple Witnefs my Hand and Seal year and day first above written.
