 General Notes:
The family of Aaron & Charity Mills moved several times. First from Jefferson County, TN to North Carolina, to Indiana 1830, and to Oregon with the first immigration of Dr. Marcus Whitman and his group. Oregon City, Oregon was the place where Emily Mills, daughter of Isaac met and married Enos Thomas Mendenhall. Aaron was described as one of the stoutest men of his day.
Aaron married Charity Mendenhall, daughter of Mordecai Mendenhall and Charity Grubb Beeson, in 1774 in New Garden Meeting. (Charity Mendenhall was born in 1754 and died in 1836.)
