James William Jacobs 68,211
- Born: May 2, 1852, Johnson, Indiana
- Marriage: Matilda Anne Oakley on Dec 21, 1875 in Bargersville, Indiana
- Died: Oct 7, 1934, Blair, Washington County, Nebraska at age 82
General Notes:
James Jacobs owned an Omaha 'clothes store' for 25 years. James entered the 'real estate' business around 1930. The 1930 Nebraska (Blair, Washington County) census shows that James' son Raymond and his wife, Gertrude lived with him. Also, there was a boarder named, "M. Arline Antill" with them as well. "M. Arline Antill" was probably related to George Antill (George Antill married James' daughter, Jennie Bell Jacobs). Also listed in the 1930 household is a "Gerald G. Jacobs", grandson, born about 1928. Gerald is probably the son of Raymond and Gertrude.
James married Matilda Anne Oakley, daughter of John F. Oakley and Elizabeth J. ?, on Dec 21, 1875 in Bargersville, Indiana. (Matilda Anne Oakley was born on Aug 14, 1860 in Illinois and died between Jan 8, 1937 and 1938 in Blair, Washington County, Nebraska.)
