Henry Hahn ⁶²

  General Notes:

Henry Hahn looks like the best candidate as the father of Emma M. Hahn. Here are my reasons: A) The 1880 Nebraska census (Nemaha County) shows Henry as the father of an "Amma". The birthdate for this "Amma" is shown as 1874. Emma M. Hahn's birthdate is *known* as about 1874. B) Nemaha County is directly east of Johnson County. Johnson County is where Emma M. Hahn and husband Charles Schmidt raised their family. C) Emma M. Hahn's birthplace is known as Nebraska. Henry Hahn's children are almost all born in Illinois (as was Charles Schmidt!) except for three. Of the three not born in Illinois, the child listed as "Amma" is shown born in Nebraska. I believe that Henry Hahn is the father of the woman we know as Emma Margaret Hahn, wife of Charles Schmidt. - Don Harrold, July 26, 2001.

Henry married Catharine, daughter of ? and ?. (Catharine was born about 1833 in Germany and died after 1879.)
