you can download the DivX media player
which plays .asf files such as the U.S. Marine Corps' short documentary: "Enduring Freedom."
After installing DivX,
visit the "Enduring Freedom" link,
then follow the four (4) steps below to test your DivX program installations' ability to play a .asf media formatted file by:
1.  right click on the "Enduring Freedom" link,
2.  choose (left click) the 'copy shortcut' option that will appear,
3.  then run the DivX program in your PC,
4.  and click on its (Divx's) upper left corner,
5.  a pop-down menu will appear, then select 'Open URL',
6.  use your keyboard CTRL and V keys together (CTRL V) to insert (paste) in to the 'OPen URL' box, the web address shortcut (URL) that you've already copied into memory during step 2,
7.  last, click on OK and the .asf file will begin downloading (copying) into your PC from the remote host computer, and play will automatically begin after the .asf file download into your PC is completed.)
This is easier than it sounds...
